My Journey

Makia Lomi Lomi was founded with a passion for spreading the magic of traditional Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage techniques. My personal journey receiving Lomi Lomi has led to a deep appreciation for the healing power of massage. To share this now by giving Lomi Lomi is a dream unfolding in the present moment.

I work on my own in one to one sessions and with a community of Lomi therapists that have trained with Dan and Laura my teachers @ Slow and Aware in the wonderful ancient art of Lomi Lomi.

I successfully completed the Lomi Lomi Nui Foundation course with Dan Joy in January of 2024. In addition I have completed a CPD Certified course on Anatomy and Physiology of the Human Bodyin March
of 2024.

At Makia Lomi Lomi, I specialise in traditional Hawaiian lomi lomi massage. Also known as the 'loving hands' massage, lomi lomi works gently yet deeply into the muscles with continuous, flowing strokes, allowing the recipient to relax and give in to the nurturing touch. I am dedicated to providing a unique and holistic approach to massage therapy. My services are designed to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being.

I offer a complimentary phone call to create a safe and supportive space for you and me connect. This initial conversation allows us to discuss your needs and goals, ensuring we establish a strong foundation for our therapeutic journey together.

During the massage you are in control at all times and can stop the massage or request an adjustment. This space is yours and your comfort and safety are of the utmost importance to me.

In the Hawaiian language, aloha stands for much more than just "hello" or "goodbye" or "love." Its deeper meaning is "the joyful (oha) sharing (alo) of life energy (ha) in the present (alo). As you share this energy you become attuned to the Universal Power that the Hawaiians call Mana.
